Plustek announces slim security Network Video Recorder

Plustek Technology today announced the NVR Slim240, the latest offering from Plustek’s line of Network Video Recorders (NVR). The NVR Slim240 is a compact, powerful NVR surveillance tool that is managed through a LAN or the Internet and is perfect for mounting in discrete locations.

The innovative design of the NVR Slim240 allows the device to be installed in locations that traditional NVR solutions could not. Fan-less design, low power consumption, a wide temperature range, -4 ºF to 149ºF and small footprint allows installation of the NVR Slim240 in almost any place. The low power consumption can save over $150 per year in energy costs over PC-based NVR systems. The built-in network switch for the NVR Slim240 works concurrently with Axis, Panasonic, Sony, Pelco and Mobotix network cameras to record images and can manage up to four channels.

The Plustek NVR Slim240 supports popular video compression format (Motion-JPEG, MPEG-4, and H.264) and is equipped with an integral hard drive to record up to 470 hours of four channel video. The NVR Slim240 is easy to manage, maintain and use thanks to the built in browser-based interface. Easy to access through an Internet browser, password protection prevents any unauthorized access. The Plustek NVR Slim240 makes it easy to detect shoplifters, reduce false alarms, increase personal safety, and view any premises for security needs, making it ideal for locations such as; shops, gas stations, businesses office, hotels, or even a discrete site and more.
