CCTV surveillance company DigiPatrol launched its new service called DigiNanny this week at IFSEC, the annual security event at Birmingham’s NEC.
DigiNannies, based at the firm’s remote video response centre in Mumbai, India, use webcams to converse with and observe children who are being looked after by babysitters or in situations where parents are not nearby.
It is geared towards the parents or guardians of children who are not under direct supervision or who are being looked after by babysitters. Users are set up with a webcam at home or anywhere with a laptop and broadband internet connection, while the children can also talk to and see the DigiNannies, who are based in Mumbia, India.
